Reciprocal Healthcare Agreement

The Isle of Man Government's Department of Health signed a new Reciprocal Healthcare Agreement between it and the United Kingdom (UK) depertment of Health in October 2010.

This ensures that UK residents visiting the Isle of Man Isle of Man will continue to receive free emergency healthcare. Official Statement

Pre-Existing Medical Conditions

The agreeemnt covers existing health problems such as heart problems and conditions under treatment or investigation.

However bare in mind that the IOM has limited resources and speciality in medical matters due to it's size.

The Reciprocal Healthcare Agreement does not cover the cost of an air ambulance back to UK or hospital transfer should you need repatriation home for specialist care.

You will need the medical cover under travel insurance for this.
