The Age Concern website keeps abreast of current issues affecting older people, such as retiring abroad where you may require expatriate insurance.

It seems that people with the wherewithal are emigrating big style which is why Age Concern have produced a fact and info sheet to buff up on before they completely cut the apron strings with the UK ('Retiring abroad').

For people who have been there, done that and want to come back home - another growing market - Age Concern have a fact info sheet for them too ('Moving back to the UK').

And there are fact sheets on 'Planning a holiday,' 'Travel and transport' and 'Leisure and learning.'

If you're over cross the usual insurance thresholds - 50s, 60s, 65s, 70s, 75s, 80s then don't shy away - go online and you could learn a thing or two about the well researched opportunities that are out there for you.

No Upper Limit for Travel Insurance

You can be 102 and a real ski nut for all Age Concerns cares - they'll still cover you for winter sports travel insurance.

So for the over 65s, 70s, 75s, 80s and 90s you can obtain cover.

You can choose from Single Trip or Annual Multi-Trip (the latter is a must for frequent travellers).

What's on offer?

• Emergency medical expenses
• Loss of deposit and cancellation charges if you're unable to go on holiday
• Cover for special medical equipment including walking frames and wheelchairs

Unfortunately, Age Concern don't provide quotes online so do check out other providers and compare the price of their quotes.

In line with most travel insurance brokers, if you take any medicines or have any pre-existing conditions such as:
