Hospital TreatmentYou can get emergency treatment any public hospital. The emergency unit is the Akutmottagningen. You'll have to pay a proportion of the cost of out-patient care, but in-patient treatment is free of charge, except for a fixed daily hospital charge, which is non-refundable (SEK 80, or £6.27p). Non-EEA nationals resident in the UK may also be covered for emergency health treatment in Sweden under a separate reciprocal agreement.
