ASDA Travel Insurance

Asda Finance give multi and single trip online quotes.

Asda's Single Trip travel insurance policy covers you for 1 trip of up to 90 days abroad.

The Annual Multi-Trip travel insurance package covers you for any number of trips in a year - as long as no one trip is longer than 31 days.

ASDA give a 10% discount if you buy online, however you do need to at least have started the quotation process online. If you find that you need to call - for example to discuss a pre-existing medical condition, then they will honour the 10% discount.

Single Trip & Annual Travel Insurance

Both the single trip and annual travel insurance cover you for -

• Up to £5 million emergency medical
• Up to £25,000 for personal accident
• £15 per day up to £600 max for hospital inconvenience expenses
• Up to £2500 for having to abandon your holiday
• Optional cover extras are -
• Baggage cover
• Winter sports cover - ski insurance - (automatically included on Annual Multi-Trip for up to 17 days but optional on Single trip)
• European breakdown cover if your car conks out, is pinched or involved in a bump. It's underwritten by the RAC but at the time of writing not yet available online.

Business travel

The Asda Single Trip travel insurance covers business travel (but not manual labour). But there's no business travel cover on its annual travel insurance package.

Asda provide an 'Emergency Medical Helpline' and can make necessary arrangements for claimers.

Asda contact a hospital and medical fees are paid. They will even put up a friend or relative (if they have to stay with you while you're in hospital) in accommodation.
